Preparation for Di Be's Arrival

So it's exactly one week before the wedding. I had today off so mom made me do lots of cleaning and tidying up. I planned to wake up at 7am but knowing me, I finally forced myself out of bed at 750 am. I plugged in the Rug Doctor and let it go in the living room. After a relentless 40 mins of that, I gracefully earned some well-deserved blisters on my right hand. Way to go, Liz! About 30 seconds after I turned the machine off, my mom ran out and was like you're done? I told her its' clean but she insisted on doing an inspection and then went on to say I missed a few spots. So I grumpily went over those "spots" and still she was not satisfieed so I told her I'm outta here. She quickly ran off to the laundry room and grabbed some Oxi-clean and brush and started to srub those darn stubborn stains away. She then proceeded to use the Rug Doctor but had no idea where the lever release was. The lever is located on the hand handle, which unlike our vacumn cleaner is a foot release where u just step on it. I had a good laugh or sowatching her entertain me as she tried to step with her right foot while she worked the machine which of course there were no foot lever but a hand lever release. After mom got off the phone with Di Nghia (from San Jose) we went to the laundromat because she wanted to wash her blankets. Then Mi called saying Co Hoa was done with Gma so I went to pick her up. So I left mom at the laundromat and went to pick up Gma. When I got there she wasn't ready yet. Gma wanted to get her eyebrows wax so I had to wait another 1/2 hr or so. By the time I drove gma home it was past an hr since I left mom there. By the time I came back to pick her up, it's 2 hrs. She yelled at me and made a huge and unncessary rambunctious scene. I didn't argue with her bc it would only make her angrier and she'd still be going off till nighttime.Oy ve, save me! Cau Do & Co Huong is supposed to arrive soon now. I think we're gonna settle the guest list and go to the restaurant to confirm the details!
