Famous Celebrities

Have you ever met a celebrity face to face and not know that they're quite well known ? Well I have....many times. And most of the time, I don't know who they are until my coworkers start to act like those typical superfans you see wanting autographs. I've helped checked so many Chargers football players, Padres Pitcher (fill in his name later), TV new anchor, Multimillionaire Black Amex Card Holders thru my lane before without really knowing who they really are. But again, I'm not much of a sports fan so you can't blame a girl for not knowing. Once in awhile I see some of my male associates get celebrity awestruck and I just can't help but to be force to "undo" their starstruck awe-face! Honestly, celebs are really humans and at the end of the day whether they're off the red carpet or not, I'm sure they want their anonimity and live a normal life like us. So really, I feel like it's my responsibility to let the celebs shop in my store without having to be hounded by crazy fans or have an uncomfortable experience. After you peel away the layers, who are they...what do they have left...how different are htey from us? There's not much difference....they're just like everybody else...normal people!

Quentin Jammer shopped twice at my workplace two days in a row. This is what prompted this blog entry.

Books Opener Vs. Store Closer

Just got home from having to close the store in a very very very long time. I think I did pretty well having not done this in months. People keep asking me what i liked better and i really can't answer that. There's always the good & bad. Going to bed now...

Tet 2008 Year of the RAT

It's 2008, Year of the Rat. That makes my 3rd uncle 48 this year and my 7th uncle 36 years old I was really looking forward to Tet this year...not because of the li xi I'd be getting this year but that I was really welcoming the get togethers that was going to happen that very weekend. It was going to be very celebratory and excitng....plus also I was going to have a 3 day weekend off from work!!! I so needed a break after having worked so much OT the previous weeks. So Giao Thua (The Eve of Tet) was actually Wednesday. I had to get up for work at 3am for my new promo training at work the 1st day of Tet. I tried to get it off but it didn't fall through because I needed to be trained that week.

Christmas 2007

Christmas this year was very mellow. It took place at Uncle Eric's new home in Eastlake. I was the last person to arrive at the place since I had to work late Christmas eve. When i got there everyone was just starting to open presents. Just in time! Gma got lots of cold gear (sweaters & the likes) this year. Gpa did not attend, he insisted on staying home to cung gio. Hung did not attend either. Tiff was the super lucky gal this year, she got an ipod from my sis & bf and me. Here are a few pics from this year. It seems the party gets smaller and smaller every year. We have got to get it back on track in 2009 to making it a big festive fun get together. Family photo

We played a "tvb" version game of eagle vs. baby chicks game after opening presents.

We played with a gift Uncle Eric got Brenden [the firefly that can fly]
