The week before we did a Surprise Bday for Aunt Liz's 38th Bday. She totally did not expect it and it was soooooo fun surprising her!!!!!! So Cau 6 called us a day before and said he wanted to do something for Aunt Liz so we said let's do a surprise Bday. Cau 6's plan to get Aunt Liz out of the house was so terrible...he was gonna take her to Aunt Nena's Place but he had told her he was working that day...so we suggested that he does what his family does on Sundays...which was attend Church services. We would get to his place and decorate and set everything else in the meantime. So Mimi, myself and Tiff arrived there around 1230ish to set things up. Cau 6 said he would leave the key for us but Mimi here...the "stressed-out-person" couldn't find it and when she did...could NOT open the door! Haha, so she turned to me and said,"OMG...it's not the right key...it won't open!!!" I took the keys and lo and behold I opened the front door!!! Miss Disoriented MIMI couldn't figure which key it was? There was the garage and two keys on it.. A masterlock key and a BIG Ole' key...go figure!?! Tiff and I had a laugh alright. So anyways we were behind bc Aunt Liz was gonna be home around 1pm so we called Cau 6 to stall and he did by telling Aunt Liz he wanted to go to Costco to get Ice Cream...I think Aunt Liz got irritated bc they were gonna go to Christian's house after church...where we they gonna put the ice cream? Anyways...Cau 4 was video-ing and Mom was hilarious. She kept peeking out through the curtains and bluffing us ladies that they were here. We were in the kitchen waiting to pop the confetti's when she came in. When they finally came home we didn't believe it my mom because she bluffed us so many times. So in comes Brenden 1st and my mom quickly grabs Brenden by the mouth to shush him up bc he was gonna scream and ruin the surprise. Celine follows suit and being that it was my mom...she headlocked Celine. She had both the kids in a headlock to shush them..Haha. it was hilarious!!! Aunt Liz finally walked in and SURPRISE!!! She was really surprised! Cau 6 comes running in yelling surprise, etc. and was so ecstatic that we pulled off the surprise so well! He kept kissing my sis, myself and tiff saying " your nieces did all this honey!!" I look over to see Ben scared and like whimpering...turns out he was scared by all the commotion. Poor baby! Brad was like way back in the hall just gazing at everyone...he had like no clue what just happened... hehe.

Today's the 1st day (July 24) I'm on the Lingzhi diet. So far it's controlled my hunger. I have no appetite or desire to eat...even when dinnertime rolled around, I wasn't hungry but forced myself to eat at least a cup of food...so that I'm getting some nutrition in me. It has really curbed my cravings though. Hopefully I'll slim down. So far no side effects, no contispation like I've read about on the net.

Let's see.. August 16th is my cousin' Brit's Bday party as well as Brendens...lots of summer bdays this year!!!! I so neeed to go shopping early since I'll be working a lot up till the party.


I just purchased PBN Talent Show CD. I really like the songs sung by the younger talented ones like Mai Tien Dung, Huong Giang, and Roni Tran. So glad I got new songs to listen in my car now!

The 'secret surprise" was that my Auntie Liz was expecting her 4th baby!
We got Brad a Shrek stuffed animal. He wasn't too into it.
My mother gave him one of her toy dogs. He loves it so much!
That is...until it broke a minute later... Here he is freaking out! Poor baby!
Here's a toy my sister and I got..A 1 1/2 year age appropriate toy.. Hehe...he loved it!!! Aunt Liz said he was too big for it..I agree but he was too darn cute on it!



I had a good time at Brad's 2nd Bday Party...although I don't think he himself realized it was his bday. His two older brothers took the liberty to open his presents for him. He loved the car toy we got for him...even thought Aunt Liz thinks he's too big for it. But boy, did that boy love it...he prolly flipped over 3 times!

So work lately has been good. I get lots of good praises from my Supervisor..which I see as my mentor. We get along well so I'm happy.

Cau 6's SECRET ANNOUNCEMENT

So Cau 6 called my mother this past weekend & invited us to Brad's 2nd Bday party for Sunday. He also mentioned he had some sort of announcement to make but wouldn't tell her over the phone. He won't tell anyone yet so we're all made to wait till next Sunday! Bummer!

Here are a few of my guesses:
1- Auntie Liz is pregnant (twins?!?)
2- Cau 6 gets a vasectomy
3- Aunt Liz ties her tube
4- They're moving...(to Texas...a rumor I hear from Chi Nghia)

April Fool's Day 2008

I stayed up very late last nite...couldn't sleep. So I surfed the net and came across some news articles regarding April Fool's Day. Reading those got me worked up and I really wanted pull something off that wouldn't get me in much trouble. However, when I got up this morning I just felt like it isn't gonna happen. My day started with having only male checkers with me this morning. You know what happens when it's boys only...chaotic! So much testerone but they're way more laid back then some females I would say. So I arrive at work and Jason tells me that Charla Giles (SD VP Area of Albertsons) was "coming." Then from behind me, Marc tells me "Charla's coming." I responded with confidence "I know" and he was like okay...Liz is really not tense. So I go back to the office to do some paperwork and set myself up for the day and just kept thinking...okay...Charla's coming...all Dept Heads are in the meeting....nobody seems worked up like they're supposed to be and Robin's been gone for lunch for a very long hour plus. What the hell's going on?!? Normally everybody would be running around trying to straigthen things up, etc. So I'm in the office thinking to myself what needs to be done or what Robin would want if Charla was coming over & over in my head. After about half hour later, I go up front and say to Jason very casually "Hey Jason, nice Joke hua?" I figured I'd try to get some response from him to see if he was fooling me. He swooped around and was like "dammit, liz didn't fall for it." Ha, that was a good one though guys!

Have you ever met a celebrity face to face and not know that they're quite well known ? Well I have....many times. And most of the time, I don't know who they are until my coworkers start to act like those typical superfans you see wanting autographs. I've helped checked so many Chargers football players, Padres Pitcher (fill in his name later), TV new anchor, Multimillionaire Black Amex Card Holders thru my lane before without really knowing who they really are. But again, I'm not much of a sports fan so you can't blame a girl for not knowing. Once in awhile I see some of my male associates get celebrity awestruck and I just can't help but to be force to "undo" their starstruck awe-face! Honestly, celebs are really humans and at the end of the day whether they're off the red carpet or not, I'm sure they want their anonimity and live a normal life like us. So really, I feel like it's my responsibility to let the celebs shop in my store without having to be hounded by crazy fans or have an uncomfortable experience. After you peel away the layers, who are they...what do they have left...how different are htey from us? There's not much difference....they're just like everybody else...normal people!
